I'm currently doing the Michelle Bridges 12WBT 10K program (Week 9), but have not trained very well for the last two weeks with a mix of sleep deprivation and loss of mojo. Started to get back into it over the long weekend.
Runs/workouts:
Tuesday: ~5K intervals (6 sets of 3 min sprints @ 10-11kmh with 2 min recovery at 5.5-6kmh)
Saturday: 5K park run at St Peters (31:04)
Sunday: 7.1K outdoor run (49:21)
Need to do a bit of research into food as fuel too, as I eat what I want (which I suspect is not optimal diet for this sort of thing :)
This week, my highlights have been:
- Completing my first parkrun (that was a serious hill which I almost walked up until I saw Sofia and Charlie!), and going for my first outdoor training run which felt comfortable
- Seeing Sofia's face cheering me on at parkrun, when she got to eat ice cream at Dolcissimo (a rare treat!), when she realised that her alphabet magnets would stick on the fridge and when she discovered Steel Park for the first time (is she secretly an Aquarius?)
- Charlie getting through two sleep cycles one morning (YEY), and having his first almost-giggle at Gymbaroo
